The Republic of Escaria is one of the bigger Guilds on Corsaircraft. It Inhabits the Islands to the West of the main continent.

History

The Republic of Escaria was founded in February 1799 after AdmiralDewi's break away from the Valyrian Freehold after the controversy of his assassination by the guild. After it's formation, the Republic was joined by T0ED and Doggy who were the first captains of Escaria. In March, the city of Euthlond was established and construction was started by Dewi. At the same time as this, war was declared on Valyria and a battle that would rage for months began. A series of small attacks were made with little affect on either side until the climax of the first war where a large raid was prepared against the Valyrian Capital, Mereen. The two captains led the attack and were able to slay the Valyrian Queen, Khaleesi. Her sword was stolen and taken back to Euthlond where disaster struck. The two captains argued over who should hold onto the sword. Dewi told them that it would be held onto until the Valyrians paid a sum of riches. The two captains were greedy though, and they slew each other until they were warned by Lord Protector Dewi to be at peace or be punished. The two captains were furious at their leader and plotted to destroy him. In the night, whilst he was asleep, they took everything that was contained within Euthlond and they burnt it before they fled into the far west. And so the first war came to and end.

This was not the end for the Republic. Dewi worked hard to improve Euthlond and soon fearsome warriors joined him as the second war against Valyria began. A raid on the Valyrian port successfully captured three warships which were used for Escarian expeditions across the globe. But the Valyrians hit back and reclaimed these ships. A military attempt was then made by Dewi to place a regiment of soldiers camped around Mereen who would regularly raid the capital. This was a great success and forced Valyria into defence. Because of Valyrian weakness, they requested peace which was given with the terms that Escarians could use all Valyrian paths.

Then in May, a third short conflict was begun by the Valyrians who made an ocean raid on Euthlond. By this time, the Republic had established the early stages of the city of Andelin which was south of Euthlond. The Valyrian raid was a partial success although an Escarian raid later on reclaimed what was stolen and more.

Recent History

Since May, the cities of Segalond and Raynir had been established and the Republic was rapidly expanding. The Lord Protector assigned the role of Admiral to FearMyFeedEU and IqarosQ.

However, this period of bliss was only short-lived. Leading up to August 6th 1799, calls for Elections arose, driven by the Admiral IqarosQ, who critizised AdmiralDewis weak standing with the other guilds, which led to difficulties in outside trade relations. It is important to note that at this point, a large majority of the Escarian population lived in the Province of Raynir, of which IqarosQ was the Governor. The negotioations for a new form of Government were however not fruitful, and even though a vote of no confidence was held, the decision of the provinces of Raynir under IqarosQ and Andelin under RedRanjer09 to seceed from the Republic where already made. Hence, on the eve of August 6th 1799, the two provinces left the Republic of Escaria and, together with the city of Tyrosh under T0ed, formed TheUnitedAlethkar.

Following the Incident, FearMyFeedEU, Lord of Segalond and second in Commmand to Lord Protector AdmiralDewi, was made Lord Protector and will henceforth be ruling what remains of the Republic alongside Dewi.

Internal Structure

The Republic of Escaria is a Federal Republic which is devided into Provinces, each with their own government. The Governors of each of these Provinces form the Government of the Republic, which is headed by a Lord Protector, a role which to this point has always fallen to the Governor of Euthlond.
