The Aurelian Empire is one of the most prominent nations on the corsair realm.
It was founded by The Hinokami Brothers, The Farshore Duo, and the mystical Jackalope Jen.

The aforementioned parties were once members of the Endorian Empire. They had seen this empire's decay, and the despotism and betrayal that lead to it.
Once the fugitive Lastiy had successfully ransacked the former Endorian capital of Volantis, hope in EE diminished, as even the then emperor, Halobearer jumped ship after disaster struck the empire. Unhappy with the state of things, they signed "The Severance", and therefore declared themselves independent, and set out to the southern seas.

The Aurelian solution to governance is a rather novel one. The internal affairs are handled by the council, consisting of arbitrarily selected consuls, who discuss various socio-economic, political aspects regarding the empire's functioning. This council is responsible for electing one individual amongst themselves, to rule as the Aurelian Kaiser, who, simply put, is the foremost diplomatic representative of the nation, and is responsible for the smooth conveyance of external political matters to and from the council. This system was devised, keeping in mind a relatively egalitarian atmosphere shall be more stable as opposed to the despotism previously seen on the corsair realm.
